Tom Clancy's The Division Update 1.4 Gear Changes In A Nutshell

It's no secret that Ubisoft and Massive are set to fix a lot of things in Tom Clancy's The Division. Through update 1.4, players can expect that the game will be back to its former glory. It's true, however, that the community has been dying to know what upcoming features or changes they'll be looking at -- at least on the gears. Well, here they are -- in a nutshell.

Tom Clancy's The Division Gear Changes: Stats

With every level gained (from level 1 to 30), Tom Clancy's The Division players can expect for their stats to increase -- namely, Stamina, Firearms and Electronics. This is done in order to make the journey in the brand new endgame World Tiers work accordingly. Moreover, after update 1.4, every item dropped in World Tier 2 and above will offer three stats. Although a stat will be pretty much higher than the rest, they can always be recalibrated.

Tom Clancy's The Division Gear Changes: Score

It's worth noting that once the aforementioned Tom Clancy's The Division update arrives, all sets of gears will be adjusted accordingly. This is to effectively match those high end gear scores in similar World Tiers. Below is the breakdown:

  • 191 Gear is changed to Gear Score 163
  • 214 to 182
  • 240 to 204
  • 268 to 229

Take note: these changes don't necessarily mean that each Gear Set is becoming less effective. Instead, players will have a much better and clearer understanding of how they work.

Tom Clancy's The Division High End Gear, Talents And Scavenging

Both high end gear and talents in Tom Clancy's The Division are being balanced so as to make them more useful in endgame. Hence players can expect them to either decrease or increase (in terms of bonuses). As for the scavenging, it's being removed. The devs tried to fix it and/or find a workaround, but unfortunately, they failed to do so. For players who own Scavenging in their respective gear sets, the stat will be replaced as well as rerolled.

It should be noted that the above mentioned gear changes in the forthcoming Tom Clancy's The Division update 1.4 are yet to be final. Fans can expect them to change prior to the release of the patch. Nevertheless, with the existence of Public Test Server, the devs will be able to hear feedback that'll help them decide which ones are viable from the others.
