WWE Clash Of Champions News And Update: Cesaro And Sheamus Battle Ended After Both Were Too Injured To Continue

WWE Clash of Champions airs the final match of the much-awaited fight of Cesaro and Sheamus. Both players gave their best but unfortunately the referees decided they are both too injured to continue.

Cesaro first sustained a major injury when he dived head first from the ring down to Sheamus. As he landed, Cesaro looks as if his head was hurt and a referee was there to assist him. Later on, both wrestlers crash through barriers and left them on the ground for a few minutes. This is when the referees decided to stop the fight as both wrestlers are no longer able to get up. Sheamus was taken by the referees while the fans shout for the fight to continue.

Although the fight was cut short, fans were not disappointed. Both wrestlers brought their A-game and really gave an intense fight until the end.

The feud between the 2 wrestlers started in Smackdown's July 19 episode. Cesaro was a part of the WWE draft in 2016 where he was drafted in the 6th round. Later on, Cesaro mentioned in an interview that he should have been drafted at least in the top 10 which is not part of his script. After the draft, Cesaro defeated Sheamus in 2 matches which started the feud between the two of them. Cesaro earned a championship match and was given an impromptu US title match versus Rusey. Cesaro lost the match, allegedly because he was distracted from Sheamus. Then the following night, Sheamus lost his match versus Sami Zayn because of Cesaro. This is when Mick Foley announced the two will be facing each other in a series of seven matches. Cesaro won the fourth, fifth and sixth match while Sheamus won the first, second and third match. Now the score is 3 - 3 and this match would have settled the real winner between the fighters.
