Kids and kids-at-heart have always been a fan of Mario. With his ability to jump and run from high places, he must be really young. The creator himself answered a long-time question of everyone regarding Mario's real age; Well, Mario is 24-years old.
According to Niche Gamer, Shigeru Miyamoto stated in recent interviews:
“Normally when you create a character and present him to the world, all the details get filed in: what’s his favorite colour? what kind of food does he like to eat?”
“But aside from the fact that he’s about 24-25 years old, we didn’t define anything else,”
“When we make a game we take care not to add incongruence to that game’s world. With that caveat, I’d like to keep using Mario in future games.”
With this revelation, the site Ars Technika UK concluded that Mario’s younger brother, Luigi, would be in his early 20s.
Fans all over the world are wrong to assume that Mario is in his middle age because of his thick moustache.
The first appearance of Mario was in Donkey Kong in 1981, which is 35 years ago. He was known as “Jumpman”from this game. After that, different franchises came; which made him appear in 200 properties that sold more than half a billion copies worldwide. Super Mario 64, which is one of its successful franchises, was released 20 years ago.
