Why Pangu's iOS 10 Jailbreak Is Taking Ages: Apple Finally Beat The Hacker Team?

In less than a month, Apple officially released iOS 10 and two succeeding updates. And in that time, Pangu has not released a jailbreak for the newest operating system from the Cupertino-based company.

This is strange for two reasons, the first being because Apple normally does not release updates this quickly. Another reason is that hacking groups have not found away around any of the updates or its base OS.

The Crack Of iOS 10.0.1

According to HNGN, Pangu has long been teasing an iOS 10 jailbreak, but nothing has actually come to fruition. Reportedly, the 10.0.1 update from Apple stopped the hacking group in its track.

The Security Of iOS 10.0.2

Almost just as quickly, Apple released the iOS 10.0.2 update, which was meant to simply fix app crashing issues and a lightning headphone bug. However, it is estimated that Apple also included more security features.

The Jailbreak Attempts

Pangu had already claimed ownership over an iOS 10 jailbreaking tool. However, errors found within the Cydia tool has halted the group from releasing anything. Meanwhile, Luca Tedesco, who is also a well known hacker, claimed he was able to break into iOS 10 as well. However, his tool was never made public.

Apple's Successful Plan

As NeuroGadget notes, the updates do not necessarily have anything to do with the impending jailbreaks. Or, at the very least, Apple did not release the updates because of fear of a jailbreak. After all, none has been made public yet.

Nevertheless, the sheer speed of Apple seems to be enough to keep groups like Pangu behind in the dust. Because while they could be working on a tool for the base operating system, there is Apple waiting to release a new update, which would completely negate any jailbreaks made to a previous OS.

And with three steps ahead, Pangu definitely needs to start playing catch up.
