5 New iOS 10 Features That Include Removal Of Pre-Installed Apps

Apple has become a little notorious for adding on features that the general public never really requests for. But the Cupertino-based company seems to be making a welcome turn, as the iOS 10 update comes chock full of changes that have been requested for quite some time now. Of course, the company also threw in a few fun and quirky additions.

1. iMessage Gets An Overhaul

As Indian Express notes, the most popular change is that iMessage will get quite a makeover. Apple has taken a page off the books of Viber and Telegram by including stickers to the mix. In addition, emojis can now replace words and users can send GIFs, as well as secret messages.

But Viber and Telegram are not the only apps that Apple is taking inspiration from. Much like SnapChat, the new iMessage allows users to write on photos and videos before sending.

2. Photo Recognition

As Joe.ie adds, the Photo app of Apple now has recognition abilities, which allows it to distinguish between places, people and even everyday items. Because of this capability, users can easily look through photos based on what exactly they are looking for.

3. The Evolution Of Siri

Siri has always been a great piece of technology, but Apple has finally expanded her reach in the new iOS 10. That is, her services can now be expected even while inside a third-party app. Automatically writing down words as a text message is now possible in other messaging applications.

4. Improved Apple Apps

The Music app and News app have gotten significant upgrades as well. The Music app, for example, has a simpler yet more interactive user interface. Furthermore, users can also view lyrics as the songs are being listened to.

On the other hand, the News app separates stories based on publications, which theoretically makes it easier to browse.

5. Farewell To Pre-Installed Apps

With the iOS 10, Apple is finally allowing users to get rid of unwanted apps that were preinstalled in the unit.
