Harmonix is expecting to achieve another major hit with the upcoming release of their Rock Band Rivals Expansion. In the official Harmonix blogpost, the developers have announced several new features that will be included in the expansion along with the DLC expansion of their music library.
What Should Rock Band Fans Expect?
The fans will surely rave upon the anticipated release of the Rock Band 4 expansion especially with the new in-game features which will be added to take the user's music band experience to a whole new level.
First off with Rock Band 4, introducing Rockudrama, where according to Harmonix, "the first playable rock documentary where you and your band group up, start gigging, and find your way through your very own story on a fictional show called Beneath the Tuneage. A narrator will take you through funny, triumphant, and often ridiculous experiences that help you live out your band's rise to fame, complete with live interviews of people you've affected along the way. Rockudrama also brings a bunch of new venues, Rock Shop items, and gameplay challenges to the table."
Aside from that, there's a new Rock Band 4 feature called Rivals mode which basically lets you and your friends create a crew and compete against rival crews via asynchronous online weekly challenges and leaderboards. Aside from that, regardless of what feature you'll be playing (Rockudrama, Shows, Quickplay), it'll contribute to your Crew's progress overall which makes the competition even more exciting.
