‘Street Fighter V’ Latest Patch, Anti-Cheat Update, Will Remove Risky Files From Game

Capcom just made an update that would make the game even better.

Capcom fans and Street Fighter legions, we should all be happy about the latest update that Capcom was able to conceive to address a lot of issues and concerns reported about the game. This is a witty move indeed from the developer.

Previously, Capcom introduce an anti-cheat update that will prevent any hacking activities and to maintain a fair and balanced fight between players. They were successful in solving the cheating concerns however, the "Street Fighter V" tool caused problems to various systems, leaving most of the players unable to access or even play the game.

In a recent forum conducted in Steam, Capcom acknowledged that they found a particular file that is causing security risk to players computer. Capcom.sys.file Ver. 1.09 is the name of the file. In their immediate action, they made and launch a tool which will permanently remove the risky files. The users that are affected by the Street Fighter V are the players who updated and downloaded Ver. 1.09 only. Users who weren't able to restart their PC last September 23 after the patch are also affected.

Capcom mentioned that after restarting their computer, "Street Fighter 5" players need to run the check/deletion tool, which will let them remove the Capcom.sys file. They should also search for registry entries related to the file and delete these accordingly. To use the deletion tool, "Street Fighter 5" players should close the application first. The Steam client should remain open and the "Street Fighter 5" game update will automatically start. After the update is complete, players will find two batch files added to the folder path.

A respected gamesite noted that Capcom provided the rollback tool as batch files for a lot of reasons, including ensuring the safety of players profile.
