Meet Pebble 2, A More Affordable Fitbit Competitor

Pebble 2, An Innovative Smartwatch

Pebble 1 debuted last 2012. The design was outstanding, but the company tried to create a better smartwatch than its first one.

Pebble 2 is a smartwatch that has a built-in fitness tracker that is even better than its predecessor. The wearable tech's design is simple with black and white e-paper display, silicone straps and plastic casing, which is almost similar with its predecessor.

The screen of the smartwatch measures about 1.26 inches. The entire wearable measurements are 39.5 x 30.2 x 9.88mm. The silicone straps are soft that is very comfortable for a long-time wearing. The screen is now made of Corning Gorilla glass, according to Engadget.

Pebble 2 has a built-in heart sensor. It keeps record of the heart rate of the user every ten minutes. It even monitors the heart rate while working out. The smartwatch has a built-in microphone, backlight, accelerometer and water-resistance of up to 30 meters, which makes it very convenient for swimming.

The wearable has a companion software, the Pebble app. It helps in managing notification and adding faces. It also has an interface called Quick View that pop ups every 15 minutes, but the biggest change is the Health tab.

Pebble 2 Believes In Its Simple Design

Pebble 2's simple aesthetics and ways to interact with it and the affordability it offers, many consumers will love and will try to consider buying the smartwatch. Its simple fitness app and basic function it offers, Pebble 2 can compete with other leading companies offering the same capabilities.

The Pebble 2 costs $129 and the batteries can last for several days, in a report from Tech Crunch.
