'Beyond Good & Evil 2' In Progress As Ubisoft Confirms

The wait is finally for "Beyond Good and Evil" fans.

It was in 2003 when the action-adventure video game was developed and published. Eight years later, they published a full HD re-mastered version and was released on Xbox Live arcade and PlayStation Network last 2011.

At last, Ubisoft confirms that the critically acclaimed game is already in development. It took them almost a decade to create the trilogy of the game due to some concerns about their main developer. However, the chief developer himself, Michel Ancel, already confirmed it on their account by providing a number of teaser images.

Let us talk about the game because a recap is a must. Beyond Good and Evil revolves around the story of Jade. She is an investigative reporter and a martial artist who currently works with a resistance movement to reveal what would be a planet-wide alien conspiracy. The gameplay is not that hard as the other games. Game includes solving a puzzle, fighting enemies, and obtaining photographic evidence that would solve your case.

Here's a teaser that Arcel and Ubisoft team revealed last week.

"If you've been waiting for news about BG&E... well, here you go! We are delighted to confirm that Michel Ancel is currently working with the Ubisoft Montpellier Studio on a new Beyond Good & Evil game," reads the message.

"Endangered species - now saved - Game in pre-production - Stay tuned!" the Rayman creator teased on Instagram along with the following image of a familiar Rastafarian rhino mechanic:

Eurogamer was able to sit down and asked Ubisoft on what to expect. And here's what he said.

"Michel is currently sharing his time between Ubisoft and Wild Sheep studios. The artwork he posted is from the game he's currently working on at Ubisoft. We don't have anything further to share at this stage."

There are no updates yet on when is the specific release date, but it is sure worth the wait.
