Mafia fans have been waiting for almost six years to witness and play an entirely new series from Mafia franchise, the Mafia III.
Today the game was launched on major consoles such as PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. There were some unexpected news for PC players yesterday with regards to FPS. The creator and developer of the game, 2K sports, confirmed that the game would be capped at 30 FPS at launch.
But, don't be dismayed PC players as 2K reported that a new patch is in the work which includes, 30,60 and unlimited options from the game's video menu. There are still a lot of improvements to be check for the PC version of Mafia III.
The new update is already in the works and developers are currently testing it. If everything goes to a plan, the Mafia III patch should go out this weekend or earlier next week. Mafia III is the successor of 2010's Mafia II. Game setting is in 1968 and stars Lincoln Clay, a Vietnam War veteran, who is seeking for revenge against the Italian mob. New Bordeaux is where the game will take place, it is like a version of New Orleans.
As reported in their Twitter page, 2K posted a note celebrating the success of Mafia III launch. The full text is copied below.
"It's been more than six years since you visited Empire Bay in Mafia II. Now, thanks to the tireless work of the whole team at Hangar 13 and 2K, Mafia III is finally here! We've pushed Mafia's trademark cinematic storytelling in a whole new direction with an open-world game. And we think you'll experience that from the second you start playing.
