While we are all fired up with the battle that's about to commence between the Demon Slayer: Gray Fullbuster and the newly awakened, Strongest Demon/Dragon Slayer Etherious Natsu Dragneel, also known as E.N.D., we shift our focus back to the ensuing war between the Alvarez Empire and the Spriggan 12 versus the Fairy Tail Guild on Chapter 505 of Fairy Tail. Spoiler warning: the following parts are the events that happened on chapter 505. If you're still here, you have been warned.
Chapter 505: Makarov Dies
The action-packed, adrenaline pumping scenes of the battle are nothing more than a chess game for the Strongest Female of the Spriggan 12, Irene Belserion. Irene has just used her magic "Berserker" which enhances the strength and abilities of the Alvarez Empire's soldiers, making them stronger, faster and somehow unable to feel the pain even by getting hit by the likes of Erza; with the only drawback according to Irene is that they just "lose their minds."
Irene dares Mavis to make a move as Soldiers of Alvarez Empire overpower and outnumber the Fairy Tail Wizards. One by one, the Fairy Tail Wizards fall and get beaten up. Even Erza could not open up a path for them, heck even Gildarts is having a hard time. On the brink of defeat and despair, Makarov, upon seeing his children beaten to the ground and bleeding right in front of his eyes; pulls out one last ace of his sleeve as he attempts to use "Fairy Law" a powerful spell that eradicates the enemies of the caster.
Members of Fairy Tail felt a glimmer of hope that somehow they can turn this battle around with the help of Fairy Law. However, Mavis rushes to Makarov stopping him from using it, saying that using Fairy Law at his age and against a great deal of enemies will shorten his life or worse might even cause his death.
But Makarov has seen enough suffering from his children (Guild members) and if his life is the cost of their salvation, then he decides it's a small price to pay. After that, he invokes Fairy Law and a bright light covers the battlefield. When the dust has settled, soldiers of the Alvarez Empire seems to have been eradicated and the seemingly lifeless body of Makarov is shown.
Chapter 506: Predicttion
The ending could be a catalyst to the next chapter where all of the Fairy Tail wizards will join together and fight as Mavis lays out her winning strategy. This event could also knock some sense in both Natsu and Gray's thick skull. Also Acnologia is still out there somewhere!
