Kramer recounted how her first husband, Michael Gambino, abused her 10 years ago. "It was the worst time of my life," admitted the singer. "He went to jail for attempted murder on me. It's been a very heavy secret to hold for so many years. The situation ten years ago broke me," she continued. "It took having Jolie to piece together every single broken part of me," she added.

She Thought He Would Kill Her

She was only 19 years old at that time. There were a lot of times that she would hide in the bushes not remembering how she got there.

"This happened a lot," she recalled. "He would come home from a night out at the club, and literally take me out of my bed and throw me onto the ground. He said he was gonna kill me, choked me, did all those things, and I was like, 'This is it,'" she recounted.

"I never want my daughter to ever go through the things I went through, or question that she's not good enough," she said. "And I want my daughter to know that no man should ever put their hands on her. Because she's beautiful," she added.
