Singer Demi Lovato is turning away her attention from the recording studio to the octagon as she has been in training for months now to pursue a career in the UFC.

Most people would think this is some kind of sick joke or even a publicity stunt. But for fans who have been following the pop star for some time now on Instagram, it may not be that of a surprise at all. Lovato has been spending some time working on her MMA game and has been posting some photos of her training.

The owner of Unbreakable Performance Center where she works out certainly thinks Demi Lovato has what it takes to be a successful fighter. He was even quoted gushing about the feisty singer:

"She throws elbows better than most of the UFC guys that come in there. She's definitely one of our fighters without a doubt. She's more violent than most, and then she gets mad if we don't get after her or harder, she's definitely one of our fighters, without a doubt." Owner Jay Glazer said.

He thinks that she has the mentality to really make a good run at the sport. He even stated in the interview that he wished that he could bottle up her mindset and sell it to the guys at the UFC.

"She's a bad little lioness dude. Don't mess with her." Jay Glazer added.

Lovato may have another advantage as she is romantically linked to former UFC middleweight champion, Luke Rockhold. Rockhold currently holds a stellar 15-3 MMA record and was just recently dethroned by current champion, Michael Bisping.

She is currently working out with some former UFC fighters with impressive resumes like the legendary Chuck Liddell and Cung Le.

With the UFC's track record of using big names to sell fights, fans should not be surprised to see Demi Lovato trade leather in an MMA match soon.
