Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G Coming Exclusively on T-Mobile

Samsung has added another member to its Galaxy family - the Galaxy S Relay 4G. The Korean electronics giant announced that its Galaxy S Relay 4G will run exclusively on T-Mobile USA.

The latest slider smartphone features a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 5-row QWERTY keypad and runs on the Android 4.0 ICS platform. A 1.5-GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor powers the Wi-Fi-enabled device. The smartphone also offers Mobile HotSpot support for up to five devices along with business-friendly features such as enhanced Microsoft Exchange ActiveSYNC, AES-256 bit encryption, and is also set for the enterprise crowd through its Samsung Approved for Enterprise (SAFE) feature. The Galaxy S relay 4G also sports a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing one, and 720p HD camcorder (1280×720) resolution.

The Galaxy S Relay 4G will run on T-Mobile's 4G HSPA+ 42 network that provides an average download speed of 8Mbs and a peak speed of up to 20Mbps. The Relay smartphone will also provide access to T-Mobile TV, Google Play Music, and Samsung Media Hub, for watching Live TV, movies, and streaming or purchasing music.

"Consumers are increasingly looking for a powerful device that makes it easy to integrate their busy work and personal lives," said Andrew Morrison, VP of product management for T-Mobile USA. "The Galaxy S Relay 4G is the perfect addition to T-Mobile's popular Galaxy smartphone lineup, providing our customers with a reliable and business-centric Android experience - and the easy access to entertainment for which Galaxy devices are known."

Specific details about pricing and release date have not been disclosed yet. T-Mobile, however, assures that the Galaxy S Relay 4G will arrive on their network in the coming weeks.
