Nintendo NX News and Updates: New Gaming Console Specs And Release Date

The Nintendo NX will be released in March 2017. Nintendo has confirmed that their new gaming console will come out at the same time as the new Legend of Zelda game.

According to PC Advisor, the new Nintendo console will support a 4K resolution allowing users to watch Netflix and other streaming sites. As for gaming, it is supposed to be capable of 1080p and 60 frames-per-second. The games will most likely come in cartridges if the rumor mill is to be believed.

Some believe that a handheld hybrid design will also come out with the new gaming console. An AR (Augmented Reality) support is also expected. The buzz is that a new Mario game, a Nintendo classic, will also be launched with the NX. At least four games will be in the new game console.

In another article, there are rumors that an announcement will be made on October 21. That date coincides with the fifth anniversary of the Nintendo Direct. A supposed Nintendo Direct event will be held in the same month which some believe that it will be used to announce the NX as well.

Nintendo fans will get a first look at the NX come February if rumors prove true. Retailers are supposed to receive their demos a month before the rumored release date.

The Nintendo NX will allegedly be priced at $299 for the base model. Bundle offers possibly similar to Wii U Deluxe will be worth $399.

The source of the leak is believed to be an employee of a 'large retail partner'.

This early, reports are saying that the Nintendo NX will have a hard time competing with the Xbox One and PS4. Some also skeptical whether the new device can be at par with the PS4 Pro and Xbox One Scorpio. But all these are speculations as of now.
