‘Criminal Minds’ Season 12, Episode 4 Spoilers: Serial Killer’s Identity Revealed? Aaron Hotchner Will Be Back As The One Being Hunted

"Criminal Minds" seasons 12, episode 4 titled "Keeper" turns out to be a whirlwind as the serial killer's identity is now close to being revealed. Speculations arise that Prometheus is the fugitive. Meanwhile, new rumors highlight that Aaron Hotchner will be back in the scene soon, not as the one who hunts but the one who will be hunted down.

Serial Killer's Identity Revealed?

"Criminal Minds" season 12 followers must have been eager to learn the culprit behind the series of killings in Central City. According to speculations, the serial killer's identity will finally be revealed. Episode 4 teases the Behavioral Analysis Unit (/BAU) on their mission to hunt down the fugitive in the woods of the Appalachian Trail in Virginia.

Emily's First Feat On Board

Appalachian Trail has been known to be the serial killer's hideout for quite some time, which means he exactly knows every corner of the place. With this at hand, it can be expected that the BAU led by Emily Prentiss (played by returning actress Paget Brewster), might incur casualty or damage, to say the least. Other reports speculated that pinning down the fugitive might be Emily's first feat in her comeback. In an interview with CBS News, Brewster described the character as "powerful and good at the job and invested."

New Plot For Aaron Hotchner's Comeback Soon

While Thomas Gibson had his last scene in episode 2, his character Aaron Hotchner, fondly called Hotch, was revealed in episode 3 to have left for an assignment. Although there has been no confirmation if Gibson is no longer coming back, new rumors have surfaced that a new plot will reveal him back on the show soon. However, this time he will not be part of the BAU but will be the one being hunted.

After a two-week hiatus, "Criminal Minds" season 12 returns Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
