Pokemon GO Gen 2 Update: Legendary Birds Coming, Gen 1 Pokemon Getting Evolutions?

It holds true that Niantic has yet to officially reveal th release date for Pokemon GO Gen 2 update. Nevertheless, as pointed out by industry insiders, players can expect it to arrive in the next few months or so (or perhaps next year). Moreover, the highly anticipated Legendary Birds are said to be arriving. And not just that, the Gen 1 Pokemon are also expected to get another set of evolutions.

In Pokemon GO, the most talked about Legendary Birds -- Moltres, Zapdos and Articuno -- are yet to be found. Not a single player of the game has reported its existence, thus the wait continues. However, as reported by HyperPoke, Niantic is set to unveil these elusive Pokemon in an event which remains unknown.

To bring the hype to a larger snowball, the so-called Pokemon GO Gen 2 update will bring new stuff. One is the mere fact that Gen 1 creatures are getting an evolution once the aforesaid update arrives. The report includes the likes of Golbat (Crobat), Gloom (Bellossom), Poliwhirl (Politoed), Slowpoke (Slowking), Onix (Steelix), Chansey (Blissey), Seadra (Kingdra), Scyther (Scizor) and Eevee (Espeon/Umbreon).

As previously reported here at iTech Post, the Pokemon GO Gen 2 update is likely to be introduced next year. Heck, there are even those who suggest that it'll arrive sometime in March 2017. Regardless of the release date, it's very likely to happen.

A member of the Pokemon GO creative team name Raza Ahmad confirmed it himself. He pointed that these things are bound to happen, most especially that the title is still new. Ahmad also mentioned about their primary goal to build a community game that is solely based on the basic principles of augmented reality.

As of now, Niantic has remained mum about anything related to the aforementioned Pokemon GO update. But if these rumors are proven true, players can expect an official announcement from the studio anytime soon.
