‘Star Wars’ Episode 8 Spoilers, News And Updates: Will Kylo Ren Leave The Dark Side?

A number of shocking information was recently revealed by director J.J. Abrams regarding "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." He said some surprising things about Kylo Ren and Han Solo. According to Abrams, the scene where Ren killed Solo is very reminiscent of what happened between Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker.

Is Kylo Ren Leaving The Dark Side?

In that memorable scene where Solo confronts his son, it appeared that, for a moment, Ren thought of leaving the service of Snoke. But he disregarded his emotions and proceeded to cut down Solo with his red laser saber. Now, there are rumors that indicate that "Star Wars" Episode 8 will reveal his reactions to ending his father's life.

Abrams made his statement at the director's commentary portion during the unveiling of the 3D Collector's Edition of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." His disclosures shocked the fans, causing many fans to wonder if Kylo Ren will experience some changes in "Star Wars" Episode 8.

Why Did Ren Solo Changed Into Kylo Ren?

This matter was not really given much time and space in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." But there are some hints in the movie itself. The film indicated that Ben Solo was trained by Luke Skywalker, but later turned against his uncle and joined the Knights of Ren. That is the reason why he changed his name to Kylo Ren.

Because of what Ben had done, Luke hid in some secret place. The film also indicated that Ben idolized Darth Vader, his grandfather. In the lair of the dark side, Ren asked Snoke to guide him, implying that he thought of Snoke as a worthy teacher.

On one of their encounters, Kylo told Rey: "You fell like he's the father you never had (referring to Han Solo). In the fateful moment before killing his father, Kyle told Solo: "Your son is gone. He was weak and foolish, like his father." In that vein, is it possible for Kylo Ren to make some changes in "Star Wars" Episode 8?
