Half-Life 2 On Xbox One And What's Next?

Microsoft's director of programming, Larry Hyrb or Major Nelson, announced that The Orange Box is already available on Xbox One, according to Engadget. The bundle includes five of the top-hitting games of the developer: Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One, Half-Life: Episode Two, Portal and Team Fortress 2

Fans have to thank the backward compatibility program wherein games for past consoles can be played in the current-generation platform. This is good news for fans of old games that are using Xbox One.

Other games that have just been brought to the Xbox One are Joe Danger 2: The Movie and Galaga Legions, Attack of the Fanboy reported. The titles released this week add to the existing games in the backward compatibility program such as Silent Hill: Downpour, Puzzle Quest, Eat Lead, Dragon's Lair, Battlestations: Midway, Jurassic Park: The Game and Tour de France 2011.

Half-Life 3 Coming Soon?

It has been a while since Half-Life 2 was out in the market and gamers are waiting for another installment to the franchise. Rumors are circulating that since Xbox One has incorporated Half-Life 2 on its console, Half-Life 3 and possibly a VR edition might be in the works. These rumors have started when it was hinted by game codes that were leaked mysteriously, according to IGN.

The update on DoTa 2 last week contained the codes and with a comment stating mentioned "used to force HLVR player to speak." After the codes seen on the PC game update, there are series of codes that followed that are related to HLVR that contains guns, ammo clips and other inclusions.

Steam's parent company Valve might be creating the virtual reality of Half-Life. The codes found on the app caused a hysteria among the fans who have been waiting for this moment.

Valve is not commenting whether the codes are for the VR version of Half-Life 2 or the sequel, Half-Life 3 and if they were purposedly leaked.
