Fallout 4 recent mods released via Nexus Mods reportedly improved the facial expressions of characters. Modders also created new holstered weapons like the Kiparis gun, Varmint rifle and weapon holster mods. Interestingly, Bethesda has already banned deceptive mods used for cheating.

A certain YouTuber called Millenia created a new Fallout 4 weapon with mods called OTS-02 Kiparis submachine gun located in containers around the wasteland and with vendors. The weapon includes magazine and receiver options for better optimization as well as reflex, laser sights and a suppressor mod. Another Fallout 4 weapon revived by modder Asxas and with visuals by YouTuber FappaRis the Varmint Rifle, reportedly a good long range weapon with low damage found with enemies and vendors.

Fallout 4 will also feature weapon holster mods created by modder Azarkiowa for both male and female characters. The mod has a 10 mm hip and thigh, holstered rifle, shotgun and a combination of the two, as well as 9 variations of the shotgun and rifle backpack. The mod may be crafted at the chemistry workstation at the Commonwealth Weaponry, Diamond City. Furthermore, the mod comes with an armor bonus, backpacks and adds 30 to the carrying weight. Fallout 4 reportedly boasts I550050's Natural Expression Fix for natural expressions on NPCs and reduced face deformation degree.

Meanwhile, it is said that the modding scene for Fallout 4 on PS4 is coming to a close due to a system upgrade. Bethesda is reportedly hoping to curb cheats via mods. Several cheats disguised as mods have reportedly been removed.

Fallout 4 reportedly no longer includes the cheat terminal mods which allowed access into PCs, activating cheats like infinite ammunition and the like. In addition, the everyone's best friend mod has also ceased. Previously, cheaters have used this mod to bring Dogmeat along the journey.
