PS4 Update 4.05 Improves Speed And Performance 4X Better? It's The Contrary

Sony has already rolled out its 4.05 update and promises users that it will improve the system performance of the site which, in turn, will improve the gaming experience of its users. However, what happened to users who have downloaded the system are now experiencing a nightmare.

This is what Sony promises its users; however, those who already understand how it works receive the news with cynicism. The reaction, of course, is not unexpected. For one, the description on the 4.0 update says that it will "improve the system performance of the game" and nothing else. In reality, it is just a minor update to improve the stability of the PlayStation Network.

Even the size of the download says a lot what users can get from it. With a mere size of 312 MB, it is just a speck in the digital world. If you have downloaded it, you won't even notice it's over because it is that quick. Thus, even the changes it bring to the table is really unnoticeable. So why is Sony making this update. Perhaps it might be a response to the whole DDoS thing which brought the PSN down recently.

Meanwhile, those who have already downloaded and installed the newest PS 4.05 update have complained that their PS4 had run much slower and the videos they have from Amazon, Netflix and other videos stutter. Other users say that the disruption on their system UI is most noticeable. Moreover, the screen freezes and locks for two minutes when they click "Settings" before it finally goes to the settings screen. The navigation has also slowed down before the update installation. Those who use a Samsung TV might also find some issue after the installation.

The PlayStation forums are now busy sharing their stories after the update. However, there are those who said that it might take a while for the system to normalize and advised others to wait and restart their system. Hopefully, everything will be okay.
