Miley Cyrus Admits She Doesn’t Like Her Engagement Ring From Liam Hemsworth But She Loves Him

"The Voice" judge expressed, "This is really weird because this is like real jewelry and most of my jewelry is made from gummy bears and cotton candy." Later, DeGeneres made the funny point, "He could've saved a lot of money by giving you like a gummy bear ring."

"The Ring Isn't Really My Aesthetic"

Miley Cyrus has finally talked about her engagement ring; but not in the way that might have been anticipated. To instantly recap, Cyrus got engaged to actor Liam Hemsworth in 2012, but the wedding was canceled later on. Somewhere in January, Cyrus posted a photo on her Instagram wearing the ring, basically announcing that their "getting-married-plan" is in full gear. But as Cyrus said today on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, it turns out the ring does not exactly fit her taste.

DeGeneres brought up a photo and offered her compliments to Cyrus. Cyrus then confessed that the ring "isn't really my aesthetic," but that she wears it since it is a token of Hemsworth's affection. "This is really weird, because this is, like, real jewelry, and most of my jewelry is made from Gummy Bears and cotton candy, and they don't look that good together," she went on to explain. "So sometimes I replace it with an actual unicorn or a Looney Tune."

Diamond Still Is Forever For Miley And Liam

Unusual, yes, but an affection for more and more jewelry is certainly not something that is limited to Cyrus alone. So, what transpires when a real rock doesn't match your general clique of accessories? Or the ring that your loved one picked out for just ain't your thing? Many brides later bemoan the fact that they didn't have a hand in their ring choice. But in Cyrus and Hemsworth's case, the couple evidently did work on the 3.5-carat Neil Lane stunner together. So yes, tastes and times may change-but a diamond is forever.

All jokes aside, the ring is a symbol of the love within the two stars. Cyrus added, "Sometimes I replace it with an actual unicorn or a Looney tune and he's kind of like, 'What's going on?' I am like, 'This isn't really my aesthetic but I'll wear it because you love me.'"

So, when's the wedding bells? This, we have to find out.
