Michael Schumacher: The Ugly Truth Behind The F1 Legend’s Luxurious Life

To some, success comes easily but to others, it requires hard work, perseverance, and dedication. While skills are learned the hardest ways possible, one man must be blessed enough to naturally possess the rare raw talent of being a Formula One legend.

Michael Schumacher, a German retired racing driver that has impressively nabbed the seven-time Formula One World Champion title is adored by many because of his brilliance in the sports industry. Yes, he has the life that anyone would always dream of. A prosperous career paired with a beautiful happy family, what else can he ask for?

Everything worked in his favor. Not until a fateful day in December 2013. What seemed to be an enjoyable skiing trip turned to be the start of Michel’s dark days ahead of him. The F1 champ accidentally hit his head that put him in a coma for six months.

Presently, he is in the comfort of his home in Lake Geneva receiving an intensive care with his A-list team of medical experts. In fact, a suite was built intentionally for his exclusive care that cost $14 million and his weekly treatment is estimated to be at $140,000.

Despite a reported net worth of over $800 million that could sustain him a lifetime, the huge amount of money that he had earned from his racing career seems not enough to cover up all the expenses that his family had to manage for his recovery.

Morning News USA noted that Michael Schumacher’s medical bills keep on rising and that his wife Corinna Schumacher had been suffering sleepless nights. She is reported to have sold their private jet, a resort and one of Schumi’s sports cars early this year in the belief that her husband will never enjoy again the luxuries that he had built, thus being sold.

What Corrina did is expected considering the expensive course of Michael’s rehabilitation. Any wife in her situation would do the practical things that she did.

This is the ugly truth of the lavish life and the victory. But, did Michael really deserve to experience the tragedies of life that limit him to function as a normal person and to appreciate the bliss of having a supportive family beside him - in good times and bad ?

The Schumachers managed to maintain their privacy and security for their beloved Michael. Millions of fans of the F1 racer are holding their hopes high for his health progress despite the scant health updates released about him.

A report said that “while some claimed that he has considerably improved, others reported that his condition is only getting worse.” The press and Schumacher’s supporters couldn’t help but create theories based on the information that they hear and read.

One thing is for sure at this writing, Michael’s condition is not getting any better but hopefully, he will be able to get up and continue his fight in this chaotic pretty world. The positivity that is. For a man with a generous heart.
