PewDiePie Plays Battlefield 1 And Tried To Be 'Shovel Knight'

Hot Swedish YouTuber PewDiePie released a recent video of him playing Battlefield 1 and proceeded to deliver to his bros hilarious content by sucking in the game and doing a questionable impression of a German soldier. He admitted, though, that he hasn't played a first-person shooter for a very long time, so doing well is out of the question. Then again, this is classic PewDiePie, where sucking in video games and debatable off-color jokes are still part of a good time.

PewDiePie Tries To Be Shovel Knight In Battlefield 1

PewDiePie started with mapping out the game and crawling through the gameplay, constantly dying and talking to teammates who clearly can't hear a word he was saying. Synchronized with an amusing background music, his comical deaths, and hilarious remarks will have the bros laughing for sure. Commenting on his poor performance with, "If my dad saw my KD, he would disown me."

Then he started to do well in the game as he learned to use and favor the dynamite and the shovel. Throwing dynamites at entrances and pathways, he would wait until an enemy would pass through before he blows them up. He would then proceed to kill the rest by getting closer, gunning them down, then hitting them with the shovel as his main melee weapon.

When he kept losing in the game, he donned a military uniform and put black tape on his face to look like a German soldier. He kept killing people with his trusty shovel while loudly shouting "shovel" in a supposedly "German accent." In the end, he admitted that the game is really enjoyable and fun.

Shovels In Battlefield 1 Were Necessary War Tools

Shovels or Entrenching Tools became important during World War 1 with the introduction of trench warfare, where soldiers build trenches to shield themselves from enemy fire and artillery. It was also pressed into service as a melee weapon since the close confines of trenches made rifles and bayonets ineffective in close-quarters. Soldiers even routinely sharpened the edges for a cleaner cut, so it wasn't just for smashing heads in but chopping heads too.
