The controversial couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie recently announced that they are having a divorce and the fans of the couple went crazy. They were intensely surprised at the announcement despite endless rumors that transpired prior to their announcement. Although the reason for the divorce was not disclosed by the couple, many have speculated that Brad is cheating on his wife. Granted that he did the same thing with his former wife, Jennifer Aniston, it is highly possible that he will do the same thing again.

Former Couple Sold A House In New Orleans For $4.9 Million, Deal Closed Last Friday

Despite the announcement, there may have been quite a number who are hoping that the couple may still find a way to work things out between them. However, it has recently been confirmed that they have sold their house located in New Orleans French Quarter, for $4.9 million. When the couple originally purchased the home, they bought it for $3.5 million. However, given the changes they may have made to the house, they were selling at a reasonable and fair price, according to listing agent Nina Killeen. The sale was closed last Friday.

The couple bought the house in 2007, before they were married, just after the incident on Hurricane Katrina. The house was purchased after Brad Pitt established a foundation in the area, known as the "Make It Right" foundation, which was to boost the new housing development in New Orleans that were affected by the hurricane. Now, they have moved on to other things and someone else is bound to enjoy the luxury of that home. It is a three-storey mansion with an 1830s feel into it, with 7,654 sq ft of total floor area.
