"I think the remakes, like Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen, is still an approach we're interested in," Masuda said. "With the Virtual Console releases of the original games, specifically there had never been a way to bring those Pokemon over to the latest generation. It had always been that you couldn't get those Pokemon out."

According to IGN, he did not confirm any date for the game to be released but there are rumors that it could be out next year or so. The Pokemon Company might still want to focus on the upcoming Pokemon Sun and Moon first.

Expectations are high right now for the Pokemon fans as they can now finally use their favorite first generation Pokemon together with the new ones. The use of the Poke Bank and Poke Transfer will let the developers transfer old versions into the Virtual Console. Doing this, it will allow the players to transfer their older generations into modern titles today.

Meanwhile, players can look forward to Pokemon Sun and Moon that is set to be released on Nov. 18, 2016. The newest Pokemon title is set to introduce the seventh generation with new forms and adaptations of some Gen 1 monsters. Players will soon roam the Alola region, which is inspired by Hawaii.
