Overwatch players are currently playing Sombra in the game's Play Test Realm (PTR) right now. The latest character's DPS and skills may be adjusted by Blizzard depending on the players' feedback in the PTR.

Sombra's Standing Among DPS Heroes

Overwatch players noticed that Sombra's damage per second (DPS) is not among the highest compared to other Offense heroes. A list has been made and Sombra has a DPS of 160 which puts her in the middle of Mcree who has a DPS that range from 140 to 270 and Soldier 76 who has 170 DPS on the live game and 200 on PTR. Currently, the highest DPS heroes are Tracer with 240 and Reaper with 280, according to PvpLive. Offense heroes with the lowest DPS are Genji with 84 and Pharah with 120 but only if she gets a direct hit.

Overwatch Player Feedback On Sombra's DPS

Overwatch forum poster, DivideByZer0 observed that Sombra's automatic weapon contains 60 rounds per magazine and each cost eight damages to opponents. Emptying the whole magazine takes four seconds although reloading takes half that time. Her primary weapon is an effective DPS at close range.

Sombra's Kit - Far More Deadly

Sombra can hack first aid kits an make it unusable to the opposing team, according to the official Overwatch site. Even enemy abilities can be disabled temporarily. The hacker can ambush enemies or sneak past them with the help of her thermoptic camo. The suit makes her invisible and also speeds her up. She has to refrain though from attacking or using her offensive abilities against enemies while in cloak mode. Taking hits will also expose her presence.

Sombra can get from point A to B with the use of a Translocator. But her ultimate move is the electromagnetic pulse (EMP). Opponents caught within its radius will temporarily lose their barriers, shields and abilities. This makes them an easy target for Sombra and her team mates.
