Austin Butler Enraged With Jealousy As Vanessa Hudgens And Zac Efron Work Together For 'High School Musical 4;' Couple Rumored To Split

Austin Butler and Vanessa Hudgens, who have been reportedly dating since 2011, are plagued by split rumors for quite some time now. Countless talks started to surface that Butler is enraged with jealousy when reports came out saying his girlfriend is set to work with her ex-lover Zac Efron for "High School Musical 4."

The year 2016 started for long-time lovers Hudgens and Butler with rumors pestering them that their relationship is already on the rocks. These talks continued to swirl up to now and fans have been more convinced that the couple is on the verge of breaking up when "High School Musical 4" got its green light in March. Despite the rumors, the couple has remained silent, giving no statements about the real status of their relationship.

Recent reports have it that Hudgens is growing more excited in reprising her role as Gabriella and is ready to face the challenges of working with her ex-boyfriend, Zac. The actor is also rumored to return as Troy in the upcoming fourth installment of the "High School Musical" franchise. The two were confirmed to be dating during their Disney movie filming days and later on called it quits in 2010.

With the two expected to be reuniting for the said movie, Butler is now allegedly holding back his girlfriend from spending time with Efron to the point that he is already preventing Hudgens to talk to her ex-lover off set. Following this set up, rumors then came out saying the actress feels "suffocated" by her current relationship, thus deciding to demand for some space.

Talks have it that Hudgens wants some time off from Butler to focus on her movie project as she is getting too much pressure in choosing between her career and personal life. Apparently, the actress decides to go farther with her profession. Additionally, sources close to Hudgens said Butler has become stricter in their relationship which is causing their endless fights.

Meanwhile, producers of "High School Musical 4" have been discreet about the film's casting. The participation of Hudgens and Efron is not yet confirmed as new rumors arise saying the film will feature a whole new cast. With this said, the allegations for Hudgens ditching Butler might just be another product of the Zanessa fandom's desire to see the two rekindling their past romance.
