Facebook´s Mobile app will now be even greater for its users since it is now equipped with an Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology that does advanced style transfer video effects in real time, which is now possible thanks to a new deep learning software called Caffe2go. This way the blue social media reduced the size of the AI software, allowing it to edit the videos the way you want to.

The AI Technology Offers New Incredible Options

According to Engadget, Facebook first flaunted Caffe2Go last month and brought some of the effects to a new camera in a limited release made exclusively in Europe. The incredible fact is that while processing live video usually requires at least a well-equipped PC, Facebook explained that the company was able to provide AI processing on some smartphones six times faster than an eye blink.

The social platform also said explained that with the AI technology in its mobile apps, it is possible now to have incredible options as facial recognition (including expressions), adding different filters over a selfie picture and many other features that offer users the coolest way to communicate.

Users Can Express Themselves In New Ways

Giving this fact, the company said in a statement that the computer can actually see where you´re pointing and activate different kinds of command, thanks to advanced gesture-based controls that Facebook created. What´s more even impressive is that it can even make automatic actions when you´re doing things like taking a selfie, like putting a "yay" filter on it. Facebook explained in its statement that with Caffe2Go the AI technology offers a new way for people to express themselves.

According to the International Business Times, the social media said that considering how the field of AI continues to grow around the world, Facebook´s latest technology is part of its efforts to turn "the latest research breakthroughs into tools, platforms and infrastructure" in order to allow anyone at Facebook to use the AI technology wherever they want.
