OnePlus 3T Set For November 15 Launch

A day after rumors saying a new OnePlus smartphone will be revealed in a few days, the OnePlus 3T will indeed be officially unveiled and it is set on November 15.

OnePlus took the smartphone industry by storm early in the year after it released the OnePlus 3 which has since been considered one of 2016's best Android devices for its price. Not one to rest on its laurels, OnePlus is set to launch the OnePlus 3 Turbo.

A 15-second teaser video was posted on the official Twitter account of OnePlus that indicates something is up on Nov. 15. The video starts off with the words "Qualcomm Snapdragon 821" and a side-by-side comparison of its speed (2.35GHz vs 2.15GHz). It is then followed by a T-7 countdown and the date Nov. 15 2016.

The video was accompanied by the tweet:

"T-7: The @Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 (2.35GHz) is coming your way. Find out more on November 15."

Rumors of the OnePlus 3T surfaced after a device from the Chinese company with model number A3010 passed the Chinese equivalent of the Federal Communications Commission or FCC. Later on, a Weibo account holder working for OnePlus revealed that they are working on a new device.

Qualcomm followed that up when it posted on Twitter that a new OnePlus device will have the Snapdragon 821 processor under its hood. No mention, however was made regarding any other details or plans of OnePlus. Until today.

While the launch is all but confirmed, there is little fact known about the new smartphone save for the processor. However, if rumors prove true, the OnePlus 3T will likely run on 7.0 Nougat and have a 5.5-inch Full HD LCD display.

The buzz is that the 3T will also have a 16MP rear camera with the Sony IMX 398 camera sensor and dual-core autofocus capability.

OnePlus is holding an event in London on Nov. 14 and it remains to be seen if there'll be a mention of the OnePlus 3T on that day.
