Overwatch Update: PTR Changes Pharah's Buffs

Blizzard has released a PTR update for their popular first-person shooter game, Overwatch. The PTR update contains lots of additions including the new character Sombra. However, players recently discovered that a new buff has also been added for the offensive hero Pharah that will enable her to fly endlessly.

According to the report from Game Rant, Overwatch team at Blizzard is having a busy week as they have revealed several new contents and information regarding the game at the annual BlizzCon event. The revelation not only talks about the most-anticipated character Sombra, but fans were also able to see new game modes that are made playable on the PC Public Test Server. However, it seems like Blizzard is still on the process of finalizing the details of the patch including hero balancing.

Meanwhile, principal designer Jeff Goodman has also provided a list of balance changes to the present pool of characters. One of these changes is on Pharah's Hover ability. It has received a 35 percent boost. Basically, the change is considered as small on paper, however, it actually provides a significant upgrade. With the new buff, players were able to discover that they can fly around the map without touching the ground. While airborne, players can fly to the skies using jump jet, then continually tapping the hover jets to regain a bit of fuel to stay in the air.

Performing this would keep the players flying for a long time enough for the jump jet ability's cooldown to come off and restart the whole process again. However, Blizzard is still undecided whether to keep this buff and place it on live servers. Apparently, it has been reported that the final call regarding the release will largely base on players' feedback. Meanwhile, Pharah's updated Hover ability is now playable on Overwatch's testing servers.

On other news, Blizzard has released an Overwatch Free Weekend where players will be able to play the popular first-person shooter for free starting Nov. 18 and ending on Nov. 21, 2016.
