'NCIS: Los Angeles' Season 8: Kensi Is Back But Deeks Might Die; Eric Christian Olsen Leaving The Series?

"NCIS: Los Angeles" season 8 had another exciting episode after Kensi (Daniela Ruah) woke up from a coma. It should be a happy affair for her fiancé Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) and it has been a touching moment when she opened her eyes. However, there seems to be much trouble in paradise and Deeks and Kensi struggle with the newest obstacle in their relationship.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" Spoilers: Kensi Calls Off Engagement

Before the helicopter crash in the Syrian incident, Kensi said "yes" to Deeks when he asked her to marry him. However, Kensi admitted that she doesn't remember any of that and Deeks pops the question again. With all the things going on, Kensi decides to say "no" this time.

It would also be a difficult journey for Kensi as she struggles with physical therapy. Despite her strong will, her body needs to take baby steps first and this is one of her main frustrations. Deeks is also feeling the strain from taking care of Kensi as he divides his time between the hospital and his job. Hetty and Sam allow Deeks some time off to deal with Kensi's condition but he declines the offer.

Deeks' Fate Hanging In The Balance?

Although the synopsis for the upcoming episode has been released and there was no mention of Deeks' fate, there were rumors that his life will be at risk. With his loss of focus on the job and Kensi's stubbornness, Deeks is not in his full element and this could be detrimental to his life given the nature of his job. Given these speculations, fans fear that Olsen is planning to leave the series.

However, it turns out that fans need not worry at all as the actor is not leaving the series, at least for now. In fact, in his recent interviews, he even mentioned that it might be a long road for Deeks and Kensi and his character will be most vulnerable at this point. Ultimately, Kensi will be back as Deeks' partner not just in the field but in real life. There are no assurances that a third proposal will happen anytime soon but given these statements, there is a high likelihood that they would end up together after all.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" season 8 airs on CBS every Sunday at 8/7c.
