An Official Nightly Build Of CyanogenMod 14 For The OnePlus 3

If you're an Android Geek, this is your chance who currently use OnePlus 3 smartphones. The new ROM comes with new features. Nightly builds of CyanogenMod 14 for the OnePlus 3 have been announced last week. The device stays one of the best values in the smartphone landscape and thanks to the official release of nightly builds of CyanogenMod 14 for the device.

What Is A CyanogenMod?

CyanogenMod, popularly referred to as CM, is a community-driven Android Custom ROM. The ROM bring a few nifty customization tricks for the status bar, which allow you to tweak its icons as well as modify the clock style. You can also turn on Brightness control, which lets you adjust the screen's brightness across the bar by sliding your fingers.

The CM variations rolling out are known as Nightly builds; users are recommended to wait for Snapshot builds. Nightly builds are test versions were developers add and test tweaks along with newly added features until everything is completed. CyanogenMod community last released Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 based CM13 and skipped the Android Nougat 7.0 based CM14 to work on CM14.1 directly. The reason for skipping was that Android 7.0 and Android 7.1 don't have any groundbreaking or important changes in the framework. Developers working on CM14 thought that CM14.1 had the same structure without any extra issues.

As nice is these tweaks are, it is worth seeing that there are still pretty much of bugs present - such as the fact that the battery indicator in the status bar doesn't shift its looks when the phone is plugged in and charging. Moreover, knowing the fact that CM14 for the OnePlus 3 is still in the nightly stage, it should be stable enough to run and you're like-minded to put up with a few bugs and your phone is rooted and running CM 14 on your OnePlus 3, click here, and get started.
