WWE News: Undertaker To Challenge John Cena On His Return To ‘SmackDown’; Finn Baylor Nearly Lost His Leg

When the Undertaker returns on "SmackDown" for its historic 900th episode a lot of fans are already speculating that it is for a non-wrestling appearance. While this is most likely the case, a current report has the WWE creative team getting the fans revved up as the Undertaker is set to challenge John Cena for a final WrestleMania.

An appearance by the legendary Undertaker is definitely costly for the WWE. So the brains behind the company have decided to use Undertaker's nonwrestling appearance at the 900th episode of "SmackDown" to become the starting point of a major storyline that will culminate at WrestleMania.

And that is a match with the equally legendary John Cena. For an all out final bout at the grandest stage of them all.

The Undertaker has been the subject of numerous opponents for his WrestleMania finale. While he has already said that the WrestleMania match with Shane McMahon will be his swan song for the event. It will be hard to believe that the Undertaker really pushes through with that. For someone who owns the longest streak in the biggest WWE event just to end it with a Shane O' Mac (No offense to the boss' son) is kind of a big bummer.

So the Phenom now has a slew of rumored opponents for what could possibly be his final WrestleMania. One story even suggests that he could even match up with another historic wrestler in the form of Hulk Hogan. That would definitely put the icing on the cake, as Hogan and Taker are probably the two most iconic wrestlers of the wrestling golden era. Talk about an absolute blast from the past.

But current rumors are saying that the WWE may go in another direction and have the Undertaker battle it out with John Cena. Both wrestlers could go out with a bang, as John Cena's appearances are becoming less and less frequent like the Undertaker. A finale of epic proportions could be a foot at next years WrestleMania extravaganza.

I guess we will just have to wait and see on this week's episode of SmackDown.

Another story making the WWE rounds is Finn Baylor's interesting story about a time where he nearly had his leg amputated. Baylor shared the story in an interview where he suffered an injury in a match in New Japan before his WWE days. According to the WWE superstar, he was kicked shin was sore after a match and woke up the next morning feeling much worse. He tried to have it checked by his masseuse who told him it was fine.

It was not fine as it kept getting worse. A fellow wrestler called Bad Luck Fale told him to get it checked by a doctor which he did. This is what the doctor who checked up on him said:

"Okay, this is what has happened. You've got a very serious infection in your leg. It's eating into your bone. If you had waited one more day we would have had to amputate your leg."

Well, obviously everything turned out fine for the young wrestler. And Finn has Bad Luck Fale to thank for that ironic stroke of good luck.
