How many mobile operating systems do you know? If you're saying two, then you probably haven't heard of anything outside iOS and Android. These two are undeniably the most popular OS's in the market right now. However, there are more operating systems aside from these two. Windows Mobile for instance is also a well-used OS. Microsoft's mobile operating system may not be as mainstream as the other two but it's also a first choice to many business people. Needless to say, if there's one OS that is undeniably unnoticed as of now, it would be Tizen.

What Is Tizen Operating System

Tizen is yet another mobile OS and it has been existing since 2012. It was developed by Linux, Tizen and Samsung and it works on a wide array of electronics like smartphones, smart TVs and the rest of the IoT devices. This OS may not have been heard of very often but Samsung is currently working on the operating system's app development in the hopes of making the it as big as Android and iOS.

Samsung Developer Program For Tizen

As per Phone Arena, Samsung is holding a Tizen Mobile App Incentive Program to encourage developers to create apps for their OS. This incentive program will give developers a chance to earn $10000 for their app creation. This program is open for app developers of different categories like gaming, social media and more.

Developers who want to participate in the program must submit their application to Tizen's incentive page when the registration begins in January. It was said that Samsung will be investing a total of $9 million to app developers during the course of the incentive program. The company will select the top 100 apps registered with them on a monthly basis and award them with $10000. This will go through until October 2017 making Samsung's total budget a whopping $9 million.
