If you have set out to achieve Science victory in Civilization 6, you must be prepared for a drawn-out game. The requirements for this type of victory is very challenging and it might take some time to win in the name of Science. Having said that, you must have the right civ and leader for a greater chance to succeed.

Here are the best leaders you can choose for a Civilization 6 Science victory. We will talk about their abilities that can help you in your cause.

Civilization 6 Leader For Science Victory: Theodore Roosevelt

Theodore Roosevelt leads the Civilization 6 America, which is one of the best civs you could choose for a Science victory. The 26th president of the U.S. has his own unique unit called the Rough Riders. His cavalry gets combat bonuses when fighting in hills and gives Culture for every kill within the home continent.

Not really the first civ that will come to mind when aiming for a Civilization 6 Science victory, but Roosevelt can propel America into the Modern Era fast. The bonuses also provide a good defense for the civ and as we know, putting a colony to Mars sooner than other civs require quick advancement and good defense.

Civilization 6 Leader For Science Victory: Peter The Great

Another civ you can choose is Russia, which is led by Peter I. This is a more straightforward choice than America, as the leader's unique ability called The Grand Embassy grants Science bonuses from trade routes to more advanced civs.

Research should be a priority, so Russia and its leader are great choices for a Civilization 6 Science victory. This civ's unique unit called Cossack also gains combat strength when fighting within or adjacent to the home territory, which makes for a great defense against attackers. It also possesses more attack points than a cavalry.

Civilization 6 Leader For Science Victory: Hojo Tokimune

Of course, we will not leave out Japan, which is currently 10 years technologically advanced than the rest of the world. Tokimune's Divine Wind allows the civ to build Encampment districts, the Theatre Square and the Holy Site 50 percent faster.

It also does not back down to attackers as the civ's Samurai can take a lot of damages without even losing combat strength. The leader's ability also provides combat bonus to its land units adjacent to coasts and to its naval units in shallow waters. Play your cards right and Tokimune will be leading you to Civilization 6 Science victory.

Civilization 6 Leader For Science Victory: Gilgamesh

Gilgamesh of Sumeria can also guide you to victory. The civ grants a lot of Science bonuses that you obviously need for your goal. The unique building Ziggurat can be built early on in the game, so you can have your Science bonuses on top of Culture as soon as possible.

Gilgamesh's ability Adventures with Enkidu is also pretty useful, whether or not you are aiming for a Science victory. Just remember that you want to get into the modern era as fast as possible so you can build your colony in Mars as soon as possible.
