It has recently been confirmed by the CW network themselves that indeed a crossover will occur between "The Originals" and "The Vampire Diaries" in the former's upcoming season four. How will the crossover go? Will Caroline come with Alaric and allows reunion between her and Klaus?

Alaric To Crossover In "The Originals" Next Year; Will Caroline Be Joining Him?

There have been reports claiming that CW has finally confirmed a crossover between the two most beloved sci-fi television series that evolves around vampires. It has been said that Alaric will allegedly crossover to "The Originals" on its upcoming eighth episode. There have been theories and speculations that Caroline might be coming with him to New Orleans, thus igniting a possible rekindling of romance between her and Klaus Mikaelson.

Since Klaus' potential love interest in "The Originals," Cami has died during the previous season, it would make all the more sense to the storyline to bring Caroline in. They have already started their romance during the third season of "The Vampire Diaries" wherein it ended with Klaus telling her he wanted to be her last love, no matter how long it takes. Thus, Caroline's character joining the show when "The Vampire Diaries" comes to an end next year would be a great fill into the storyline. This will definitely be good news to all of their fans who have been rooting for their love story to bloom.

"The Originals" Not Cancelled Despite Rumors Circling Around As Confirmed By The Executive Producer Herself

With "The Vampire Diaries" already on its eighth and final season, it has been speculated that "The Originals"
will also end alongside its predecessor. However, these rumors have been debunked by the executive producer herself, Julie Plec. According to her, she and the writers have great plans for the show, thus unlikely to be cancelled sometime soon. Nevertheless, the fans should still support the story of the Mikaelson family as they are still in store for more challenges and more villains coming their way. She also teased the upcoming relationship between Klaus and her daughter Hope when the show returns.

"The Originals" season four will be released on March 2017.
