Pokemon Sun And Moon Update: Standard 3DS Version Takes More Time To Load Than Usual

A video comparison for load times of the new Pokemon Sun and Moon has been released recently. The video footage revealed that the latest game takes more time to load on a standard 3DS compared to the new Nintendo 3DS. In addition, it seems like the older hardware experienced minor lagging when it comes to running the new title.

According to the report from Game Rant, the video footage was released by a YouTuber called bagzipoke where Pokemon Sun and Moon performs exceptionally on the New Nintendo 3DS. On the hand, it shows that the standard edition of the system takes more time to boot the games up. Although difference in the load times is relatively substantial, as the older version of Nintendo 3DS XL needs twenty seconds more just to make it to the introductory screens.

Based on the report, upon displaying the load times between 3DS XL and New 3DS XL, the digital copy of Pokemon Sun and Moon was used and installed on a 32GB Class10 Sandisk MicroSD. However, it does not change the fact that the older version boots the latest game slower than the latter.

Apparently, the case is not new for the New 3DS XL as it also boasts its excellent performance on several game titles such as Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS. In addition, some particular features have to be disabled on the older units in order for them to run and play a newer game.

Of course, Pokemon Sun and Moon is not the one to blame by the shortcomings of the older Nintedo 3DS. In fact, despite the developer's big leap in altering the franchise's game formula, it has been paid off in a big way as Pokemon Sun and Moon have gathered remarkable positive reviews. Meanwhile, players were asked to upgrade their system into the New Nintendo 3DS if they want to experience the new game titles a lot more quickly.

Pokemon Sun and Moon are now available on Nintendo 2DS and 3DS.
