Pokemon GO New Update Includes Expanded Trainer Abilities, Double XP, Stardust, And Ditto

Despite its fall from the top spot, Pokemon GO still proves to be one of the most popular games this year with more than 500 million downloads from all over the world. And finally, this week, the Pokemon GO new update has been released which includes some expansion in the trainer abilities.

Niantic has announced that along with Pokemon GO new update the improved trainer ability is for the purpose of feedback regarding the newly added features. However, this is limited to Canada, Australia, and the United States trainers only. These trainers will now be able to use the Nearby and Sightings functions.

In the United States, all states west of the Mississippi except Alaska and Hawaii can take advantage of the feature. In Canada, those who live in the British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and the western half of Ontario areas have access to this. In Australia, the said feature applies to all states and territories.

Aside from this, Niantic also announced that it is doubling the XP and Stardust amount when players complete in-game actions. The company said that this is some sort of their thank you gift for Pokemon GO players. This will be effective from November 23 to November 30.

Some monsters will also increase their combat powers. "Some Pokemon such as Alakazam, Rhydon, Gengar will have their CP increased. Others will have their CP lowered," the company said. They further added that they will keep on adjusting the CP in the coming days to enhance and improve the game balance.

One part of the massive update that fans have been waiting for is the inclusion of Ditto, the appearance-shifting Pokemon. Ditto is a must-have Pokemon because of its ability to copy any Pokemon it meets. Players from all over the world have been reporting of Ditto sightings all over the world.
