Pokemon Go Update: Which Pokemon Ditto Can Turn Into?

Pokemon Go has recently introduced Ditto into the game and several in-game screenshot has been leaked showing the evidence that the mimic Pokemon has been included to the roster. In addition, Niantic has also released a video footage highlighting Ditto and its Transformation ability to support the previous claim. Currently, players are still confused on how Niantic handles the unique ability of the Pokemon. Thankfully, some dedicated players put up a list of Pokemon species which the said Pokemon can transform into.

According to the report from Heavy, Ditto will appear to look like a regular Pokemon in the wild. As of now, there are no indications of a "derpy" looking Pokemon whenever you encountered one. As a result, players are now confused on how will they identify a nearby Pokemon as Ditto. Apparently, it would be helpful if you will know what kind of Pokemon specie that Ditto will most turn unto.

As seen on the post from Pokemon Go community called The Silph Road on Reddit, the following Pokemon species were listed that is rumored to be Ditto's common transformations. Though it is not yet confirmed but most of the reports are pointing out into these list of Pokemon. Based on the compilation by redditor Paanvaand, Ditto's most common transformations are Pidgey, Rattata, Zubat, Magikarp and Spearow. Additionally, there several Pokemon species that had also received several reports and now being considered as Ditto's less common transformations. These are Metapod, Venonat, Paras, Mankey, Ekans, Snorlax, Doduo and Nidoran (Male).

Meanwhile, Niantic has not confirmed anything yet regarding the range of Pokemon species that Ditto can turn into. It was known previously, that Ditto can turn into almost all of the Pokemon present in the series. However, it seems like Niantic is doing a modification on this unique ability. In addition, the research between Ditto's transformation capacities are still going on and players are hoping to find some concrete answers soon. Thankfully, there are those dedicated players who voluntarily spill some information regarding each update made to the game.
