OnePlus 3T: A Review After Less Than A Month Of Its Launch

Just last June of this month, OnePlus launched their new flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 3. Since that time, OnePlus has made significant improvements to all of its feature. According to some critics, OnePlus 3 should be considered by all smartphone buyers, even ones who were ready to pay $700 or $800 for a flagship phone from another company.

OnePlus 3T: Specs and Price

According to Phone Arena, when you buy a OnePlus 3T, here are the things you will on the box:

  • OnePlus 3T handset with pre-applied screen protector
  • User manual
  • $5 OnePlus discount card
  • SIM tool
  • USB-C to USB-A OnePlus red cable
  • Dash Charge wall charger

The 3T has a 5.5-inch AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 821 SoC, 6GB of RAM, a 3,400 mAh battery with Dash Charge, and a pair of 16MP cameras on both the front and rear. The phone went official just a couple weeks ago, and just went up for purchase on November 22nd priced at $439, as reported by 9to5 Google.

OnePlus 3T: Review

As far as its design goes, according to AnandTech, the OnePlus 3T is mostly unchanged from its predecessor. The relatively thin body and the tapered back design make it far more usable with one hand than other 5.5" smartphones like the Pixel XL or the Moto G4. Being made from a single piece of aluminum, the chassis has none of the seams that the OnePlus One and OnePlus 2 had, and it feels incredibly solid in the hand.

In addition, OnePlus has taken the time to actually align the various ports and buttons on the sides of the chassis instead of placing them wherever is convenient without any regard for aesthetics or usability. Making these design decisions regarding the placement of controls also makes the phone easier to use than the other competing devices.

As per Beta News, here are some new wallpapers, which are nicer than the old ones, a user experience program (which you join by default), and a Community app in the drawer. Another new icompare to OnePlus 3 is the fact that you can see what's new in a software update after it's applied. There's a "Check Update Log" button in the System Update menu that shows all the changes that OnePlus lists, as well as the full name of your software version (in this case, "OnePlus A3003_28_161122").
