Vanessa will learn an important secret from her past in "Van Helsing" season 1, episode 13. After getting captured, Dmitri will tell Vanessa something about her past and she will find herself at a crossroads. Meanwhile, the Resistance will try to help rescue Vanessa.

In "Van Helsing" season 1, episode 12, Vanessa was captured by Dmitri thanks to Mohamad's betrayal. He brought Vanessa to a camp which turned out to be a human butcher shop and sets her up to be caught by Dmitri. Maybe Mohamad knows of Dmitri's plans and knows that Vanessa can turn a vampire back into a human. That would be the only comprehensible reason for this shocking reversal.

A sneak peek video of "Van Helsing" season 1, episode 13 shows Dmitri talking to a captured Vanessa who was chained down on a table.  "And so it begins, you are probably wondering what is beginning," he said but didn't divulge to her about the plan. Instead, he will tell Vanessa about her past saying that she has the right to know.

Dmitri added that the plan will be life-changing for vampires and promised that it would be life-changing for her too. "Things (about vampire and humans) are right, right now and you will help make them better," he said before hinting something about her blood. He said it might take a long time or might be painful -- they are definitely going to do some sort of experiment on her!

The "Van Helsing" season 1, episode 13 preview shows Dmitri's ally injecting some drug in her neck. Meanwhile, the Resistance will launch an attack against the vampires. There's a footage of Axel addressing the crowd saying, "We will kill those things like they have been killing us for three years." It seems like there will be an all-out war for the last episode of  "Van Helsing" season 1.
