Skyrim Special Edition Guide: Level Up Alchemy To 100 Fast

Alchemy is a skill in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and it lets players combine raw ingredients to get their desired effects ranging from helpful potions to deadly poisons. It falls under the Thief play-style but a highly useful skill whatever build you do. This is a guide on how to level up your Alchemy from 1 to 100 fast.

Method One To Level Up Alchemy In Skyrim

YouTuber ESO, famous for his Skyrim Guides, shared at least two methods to level up your Alchemy in Skyrim, one of which will also get you a ton of Gold. For the first method, fast travel to Whiterun and head straight to Arcadia's alchemy shop. Speak to her and ask her to train you.

She can only train you for up to five times, and although it can be quite expensive, you can actually get your money back by saving your Skyrim game and Pickpocketing Arcadia. If she does detect you, load your save then try to Pickpocket her again. Once you've successfully leveled up, you'll have the option to be trained by Arcadia and get the gold back through pickpocket again.

The problem with this method is that it will only work for up to level 75 Alchemy. And once you get to level 50 the training will cost more. So even though you can have the gold back, you will still need enough money to finish the training.

Method Two To Level Up Alchemy In Skyrim

Many people haven't realized it but Alchemy is also one of the fastest ways to earn money in Skyrim. There are two potions you can do to level up your Alchemy fast, and sell these potions for tons of Gold. Before doing this method, make sure that you activate the Thief Stone among The Guardian Stones located near Riverwood in Skyrim. The Thief Stone will let your level up your Alchemy 20 percent faster. You need to also sleep on a bed that you own or in an Inn, so you can get the Well Rested bonus which improves your level up rate by 10 percent.

Gather the ingredients you'll need and have as much of them as you can. One of the most common ingredients you'll need is Wheat and you can find them all around Skyrim in most farms you can go to, the closest of which are the farms around Whiterun. Next, gather a ton of Creep Clusters. They grow all over Skyrim but you can get a lot of them in a single area, they are infinitely scattered around near Kynesgrove, south of Windhelm, south of Bonestrewn Crest and around The Atronach Stone. They take ten days to respawn, but you can actually plant them in your house and they'll only take three days to grow.

The next ingredient is the Giant's Toe, which is the hardest one to get. To get the ingredient, you will have to kill giants, and you can find them all over Skyrim located at Giant Camps. Alternatively, you can buy Giant's Toe from Alchemy stores. If the store you went doesn't have the ingredient for you, save the game, hit the NPC, load the game and they will have completely new ingredients. Keep doing that until they have the Giant's Toe.

After ensuring you have the status bonuses on (Thief Stone and Well Rested), you can now create your potions on an Alchemy table. Combine Wheat, Creep Cluster, and Giant's Toe to make Potions of Fortify Health and this will level you up insanely fast. When you've run out of ingredients, head to your Alchemy store and sell her all your potions for lots of Gold. If she runs out of Gold, just use the shop reset method again. Alternatively, you can use the Gold to get more Alchemy training from her.

Another alternative potion without the need for a Giant's Toe will also level you up fast. The first ingredient is the Chaurus Egg, which you can get over a hundred of from Chillwind Depths in Skyrim. Look out also for the several Namira's Rot, which is the second ingredient you'll need. The last ingredient is the Luna Moth Wing, which you can find around the area between Solitude and the Abandoned Shack. Luna Moths love to be under the moonlight, so head there between 8 pm and 11 pm.

Combine all ingredients to create Potion of Invisibility. It is slower than the Potion of Fortified Health and has lower value but the ingredients are much easier to obtain. And that's how you level up Alchemy in Skyrim.
