Dota 2 7.00 Guide: Major Changes Every Dota Player Must Know

Dota 2 7.00 update already hit the test client today. Pretty soon, Dota 2 7.00 will come to the normal client, and every player must have to deal with it including those who have no idea about the changes. In this article, we sorted out the major changes in 7.00 every Dota player should know.

Levelling System

The previous versions of Dota 2 allowed the players to level up their ultimate abilities at levels 6/11/16. In Dota 2 7.00, Valve changed it to 6/12/18. Along with this change is the removal of bonus attribute, meaning, your hero no longer receives bonus attribute per level up. At levels 10/15/20/25, heroes are able to unlock talents where the players can choose upon. These talents give unique sets bonuses.

New Feature: Backpack

Dota 2 7.00 has a new inventory feature called "backpack." Every hero carries a backpack that provides them three additional inventory slots. The rule, however, is that the items in those slots should be inactive and cannot be activated and do not grant any passive bonuses. This is helpful in carrying recipes that complete your items.

Map Changes

The major map change in Dota 2 7.00 update is the Roshan location which is now located a new spot near the upper left rune location. Jungle terrain has been reworked drastically as well as the ward spot locations and juke paths. There are now also ancient creeps to all of the four jungle areas. Players should know that bounty runes are no longer located in the River; they now spawn in each of the four jungles every two minutes.

New Building Type: Shrine

New building type was added in the 7.00 update. They are called "Shrines." Every team has two shrines located in the Secret Shop and Ancient Camp aside from the five Shrines in the team's base. The have 5-minute ability cooldown that grants 120 HP and 40 MP regeneration that lasts for five seconds. Shrines, however, do not grant vision; but you can teleport to it.

Those are the major changes in the Dota 2 7.00 update aside from the new hero, new HUD, and new gameplay. For more information about Dota 2 7.00, you can visit the official Dota 2 site.
