Netflix Introduces Upcoming Guillermo Del Toro's 'Trollhunters' With New Official Trailer

Netflix has finally released the official trailer for the anticipated animated series, “Trollhunters”. They have teased about the said Dreamworks show earlier. And now, it has revealed that the series will be coming out soon.

It has been a while indeed since the last time fans have seen a work from the renowned Guillermo del Toro. The latest production he worked on was “Crimson Peak”, a gothic romance film, which was released in October 2015. Though the said movie did not click that much with viewers, fans are actually anticipating the upcoming animated series, “Trollhunter” from the said filmmaker.

The story of the upcoming animated series revolves around the life of an ordinary teenager named Jim Lake Jr. who happened to stumble upon a mystical amulet that led him to discover the existence of an extraordinary civilization of trolls well hidden beneath his hometown. Unfortunately, possessing the said amulet has forced him to take on the responsibilities of a Trollhunter and set off on an adventure along with his friends fighting formidable vengeful enemies to protect the secret world of good trolls.

The trailer for "Trollhunter" revealed a vivid animation full of vibrant characters that both kids and young adults will enjoy. Del Toro and the cast has said that though the animated series is set to attract young viewers, parents and those kids at heart will also find the series delightful especially since it is set in a fantasy genre full of monsters and magic. Aside from that, the trailer as well as the featurette Netflix unveiled a couple of days ago, disclosed some characters that viewers will surely grow fond of.

“Trollhunters” is one of the upcoming new series that will be streamed on Netflix. It is an animated series created by del Toro and produced by Cha Cha Cha Films and DreamWorks Animation. With a talented writer behind the script and backed with producers responsible for releasing successful productions like “Mother and Child” and “Kung Fu Panda: Secrets of the Scrolls”, fans are setting high expectations for the said show. Though it will finally air on Netflix, the said animated series already premiered its first two episodes at New York Comic Con back in October 2016. The entire series will officially debut on Netlix on Dec. 23 this year.
