Miranda Sings Tries To Pull Off Pewdiepie’s Stunt; YouTuber Threatens To Delete Her Instagram, YouTube After ‘Haters Back Off’ Season 2 Renewal

Miranda Sings will be back on Netflix in 2017 for "Haters Back Off" season 2. However, on Friday, Dec. 16, Sings posted a video on YouTube titled "Deleting My YouTube and Instagram!" This seems to be another stunt that top YouTuber PewDiePie did a while back.

"Haters Back Off" Season 2

On Thursday, Dec. 15, Colleen Ballinger, the woman behind Miranda Sings, posted a video sharing that "Haters Back Off" was renewed by Netflix for season 2. The upcoming scripted comedy will have eight episodes. At the moment, there is no specific release date set but the series will arrive sometime in 2017.

The first season of the comedy was based on Sings, Ballinger's popular YouTube character, who is known for her obnoxious attitude and messy, red lipstick. In a video, Ballinger announced that she was ecstatic when she got the news that "Haters Back Off" will have another season. She expressed her gratitude to her fans and to her family who supported her.

Miranda Sings Deletes YouTube And Instagram?

In a video blog, Sings threatened that she is going to delete her YouTube and Instagram due to the number of hate comments. This is the second threat that fans heard from a YouTuber. Just a week ago, top YouTuber PewDiePie followed through with his threat to delete his YouTube account but it was not his main account which has over 50 million subscribers. Instead, it was an alternate account that was closed.

In her video, Sings was seen crying over the mean comments on her Instagram. Some commented about her lipstick, another comment said that "She doesn't earned it like other YouTubers." At the end of her video, she stated that "as punishment" she will delete her YouTube channel and her Instagram just like Justin Bieber did.

While the video may seem to be a huge threat, this seems to be just like PewDiePie's post. Sings is an oddball and it would not be unusual for her to pull off stunts like this. Since Miranda Sings has one of the top channels on YouTube, she might not go through with her threat after all.
