ARK: Survival Patch 253 Surprise Item And Five More Things You Should Not Miss

The ARK: Survival patch is coming soon and Wildcard Studio's Steam Early Access has already revealed what players should expect and there are a lot of exciting things that await beyond the horizon. Aside from the new dinosaurs that will be added, here are other things that you might have missed.

A Surprise Item

The game's Early Access info has already indicated that there will be a surprise item waiting for the players. However, Wildcard did not indicate what it is. It makes sense because it is a surprise.

Winter Wonderland Event 2

Players can follow Raptor Claus as it journey around The Island, Scorched Earth, and the Center. Collect the items he will drop for you as well as coals and creatures that will keep you warm at night. The DodoRex will also occasionally appear bringing along some new items with it.

New Underwater Caves and Tek Tier Phase 1

There will be two additional full-scale underwater caves which are progression orientated and filled with artifacts. Aside from that, players will get the Tek Tier Phase 1 which includes the Tek Engram system, element resource system, and a number of Tek gadgets and weapons, such as helmets, gloves, boots, saddles, and jetpacks.

Five New Dinosaurs

The dinosaurs are the biggest part of the update and we can't simply pass it by. Welcome Cnidaria, Troodon, Tusotheuthis, Pegomastax, and Therizinosaurus. The first dinosaur lives underwater and looked like a giant jellyfish. Troodon, on the other hand, is a relative of the raptor family. Pegomastax is a small herbivorous dinosaur, Tusotheuthis is also an underwater dinosaur which looks like a squid, and Therizinosaurus looks like a T-rex.

More Future Updates

Aside from this update, Wildcard also announced that players should expect more updates in the not so distant future. This includes new structures, caves, more, creatures, and weapons.
