The game was announced just in October and although a specific release date has not been announced yet, Rockstar is eyeing Fall 2017 as its target. Red Dead Redemption 2 will definitely bring back the classic western-style gameplay, with a much-improved game system. Kojima seems to have huge interests in this type of games from Rockstar.

According to Kojima, he said that Grand Theft Auto V made him depressed. It is simply because of how amazing the game was, making such great game developers intimidated. He has a high respect in the Rockstar Company, as he expects that his own Metal Gear Solid V cannot be compared to GTA V. He said that his game will not bring such impact as GTA V. He also said that the Rockstar Team is the best, making praises for the company. Rumors suggest that Kojima might end up partnering with Rockstar, which could be dream come true for many, though it is yet to be confirmed.
