Hero’s Song Cancelled; Everything You Need To Know About Refund Detailed Here

Hero's Song may no longer be played as the former head of Sony Online Entertainment has announced the game's cancellation. Moreover, the PixeImage studio was reportedly closed as well. Those who purchased the game either from Steam of Indiegogo may reportedly get a full refund of the game.

Sony Offers Refunds for PixeImage's Cancelled Debut Title

Hero's Song has been launched as the studio's open world rogue-like fantasy role-playing action game with both single and multiplayer elements. Apparently, the founder John Smedley reportedly went to Twitter to announce the news along with a link to the PixeImage website with the announcement of shutting down. The site reportedly noted that sales reportedly fell short to continue development of the game.

It should be noted that Hero's Song was initially funded via the Kickstarter. Shortly after, the indie title was cancelled by the founder. Apparently, Hero's Song was only able to raise $137,000 USD in the first week while the initial funding goal was at least $800, 000 USD.

In the meantime, the page reportedly noted full refund entitlement to those who already purchased the game. Steam users have been directed to go through the usual Steam refund process. Indiegogo users on the other hand may send an email to get a full refund of Hero's Song, Gaming Central reported.

100% Money-Back Guaranteed

Meanwhile, Smedley also noted that refunds would be processed beginning early next week. Apparently, several key people have gone away for the holidays. On the other hand, Smedley assured those who purchased Hero's Song 100% refund.

Hero's Song may reportedly be refunded either through paypal or with a check. Note that Smedley and his team are expecting to finish refunds within three months. Note that backer refunds may be filed until Mar. 31, 2017. In the meantime, several emails have been sent to Smedley for the team to keep the money for their hard work but Smedley reportedly insists on giving their money back, Crowdfundinsider reported. Watch the Game Cancellation News here:
