Dota 2, The Division, GTA V, Fallout 4 Best-Selling PC Games Of 2016; Here's Why

Dota 2 is among the top-grossing games on the PC on Steam in 2016. This was according to the recent announcement made by Valve.

Why Dota 2 Made It To List Of Best-Selling PC Games In 2016?

As recently announced by Valve, Dota 2 is one of the best-selling PC games of 2016. Other games that successfully landed on the list include GTA V, The Division and Fallout 4.

Dota 2's specific sales figures were not revealed, though. However, reports indicate that Valve placed Dota 2, along with the other games, into four categories that were based on how each game was sold - Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

According to reports, Dota 2, which is a free-to-play game, is one of the Platinum games, along with The Division, GTA V and Fallout 4. For those who are interested to see the more of the bestselling games on Steam in 2016, they can check out the Steam website.

Meantime, the last full day of the annual Winter Sale of Steam was reportedly on Jan. 1, and as previously announced, it concluded on Jan. 2 at 10 AM PT or 1 PM ET. Meanwhile, Valve has also revealed the list of winners of the first ever Steam Awards.

2016 Was Remarkable Year For Dota 2

Considering the display of the pro scene to the metagame, up to the surprises offered by Valve's VR to the continuing development, reports suggest that 2016 was indeed a remarkable year for Dota 2. It should be noted that Dota 2 has never been a more open arena of competition, never been more strange and balanced. That said, 2016 has reportedly given the biggest patches to the game.
